1) Preservation of Traditions and Cultural Heritage

We are committed to protecting the cultural values of the Sherpa community, including festivals, language, music, dance, and traditional knowledge.
Organizing cultural festivals, Losar celebrations, religious ceremonies, and youth- and child-focused training remains our top priority.

2) Conservation of the Swayambhu Area

The Swayambhu complex is not only a symbol of our religious identity but also a national heritage site.
We continuously support the cleanliness, maintenance, awareness campaigns, and creation of a safe environment in the Swayambhu area.

3) Coordination and Information Sharing With Government Bodies

We work in close collaboration with government and local authorities to:

  • Disseminate information on employment opportunities
  • Provide updates related to education, health, tourism, and social services
  • Conduct awareness programs

Through these efforts, we serve as an effective bridge between the community and government institutions.

4) Environmental Protection and Cleanliness Programs

Creating a clean, safe, and green community is one of our core goals.
Our activities include:

  • Regular community cleaning programs
  • Plastic reduction campaigns
  • Environmental awareness initiatives
  • Plantation and conservation of trees

These programs contribute significantly to sustainable environmental development.

5) Preservation of Endangered Sherpa Religion and Culture

We are deeply committed to safeguarding the Sherpa community’s traditional religion, language, attire, music, dance, and heritage.
Our efforts include:

  • Mani & Molam training
  • Passing religious and cultural knowledge to the younger generation
  • Documenting oral history and traditional practices

Through these, we aim to preserve our cultural identity for future generations.

6) Preservation and Environmental Improvement of Traditional Water Sources (Tuti/Cemetery)

We give special attention to conserving community water sources such as tuti and dhunge dhara (stone spouts).
Our initiatives include:

  • Maintenance and repair of water sources
  • Cleaning of surrounding areas
  • Tree plantation
  • Protection of natural water reserves

These activities support the strengthening of local water conservation efforts.

7) Promotion of Tholedemba Hill and Lower Everest Region Tourism (Okhaldhunga District)

Tholedemba Kidug is contributing to the economic development of the community by promoting local tourism on a global platform.
Our efforts include:

  • Promoting local culture and traditional routes
  • Showcasing the region’s natural beauty and attractions
  • Improving trekking trails, resting areas, and environmental management

We are continuously working to make the Lower Everest Region a sustainable and renowned tourist destination.

8) Medical Assistance for Economically Disadvantaged Members

To ensure equal access to healthcare for all community members, the organization provides medical support to financially weak and disadvantaged families.
Our support includes:

  • Financial assistance for emergency accidents, chronic illnesses, surgeries, and urgent medical needs
  • Coordination with local health institutions, hospitals, and doctors to ensure easier access to treatment
  • Relief support for families struggling to afford healthcare due to financial constraints
  • An Emergency Medical Support program for migrant workers abroad or individuals facing difficult circumstances
